What urgency calls you to your one love?
What shape waits in the seed of you to grow and spread its branches against a future sky?

A Body-Centered, Practical, Interactive Approach to Psychotherapy for Individuals, Couples, Children & Families, & Groups
In every moment, life calls to us offering growth and healing. Therapy is an opportunity to help us respond to that call. We often come to therapy prompted by a challenging life situation, by suffering, or by an impulse to expand or change. With support, we may begin together the process of defining the guiding questions, and learning and practicing the skills that allow us to experience a more full-bodied aliveness. The fruits of this aliveness are experienced not only in our individual lives, but also serve the greater communities in which we move and participate.
The therapy I provide is grounded in two guiding intentions:
My work is influenced by training in the PsychoPhysical Therapy work of Bill Bowen, as well as various somatic modalities, including Hakomi, bioenergetics, Diamond Heart, Authentic Movement, Playback Theater, and gestalt work. My experience in a breadth of mind / body and ritual practices from both western and eastern spiritual traditions support my work. I offer counseling to adults, children, couples, families, and groups.
My areas of focus include: anxiety and depression; self-esteem; relationship, friendship, and intimacy; couple’s therapy; life transitions; grief, trauma and abuse; women’s issues and women’s groups; body image, food issues, and eating disorders; addictions; children and parenting; spirituality and exploration of sacredness.
The therapy I provide is grounded in two guiding intentions:
- discovering and celebrating our innate wisdom and capacity for well being, relationship, and pleasure.
- developing awareness and self-compassion in order to transform pain and suffering, and to restore a kinder, fuller relationship to ourselves, to others, and to the world.
